Rodong Sinmun Calls for Victoriously Greeting 70th Anniversary of WPK

Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)

Pyongyang, January 5 (KCNA) -- This year marks the 70th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), which organizes and guides all victories of the Korean people.

Rodong Sinmun Monday in an editorial says:

The 70th anniversary of the WPK marks a historic occasion to glorify the undying exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il for all ages and show the world the true picture of the WPK which is holding Marshal Kim Jong Un as the center of unity and leadership and its militant might.

Steadfast are the conviction and will of all the service personnel and people of the DPRK to make a present of the most valuable feats to the 70th anniversary of the WPK.

When the WPK's 70th anniversary is glorified as a grand festival of victors by dynamically pushing ahead with the general advance this year, the dignity and authority of the WPK as the great party of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, powerful staff of the Songun revolution and genuine mother party will rise significantly.

Now all the hostile forces that are displeased with the victorious advance in the building of a thriving nation are putting political and military pressure upon the DPRK and hell bent on the unprecedented moves to isolate and stifle the DPRK.

The reality proves that the path of socialism chosen by the DPRK and its principled stand to counter imperialism to the last with the toughest counteraction are entirely just.

All the party members, service personnel and people should dash ahead at the maximum speed of attack towards the grand festival of October with the unshakable revolutionary faith and the spirit of sure victory and thus register successes in the struggle to defend socialism and all fields for building a thriving nation.
