North Korea intends to strengthen ties with Iran: Official

Beijing, Feb 15, IRNA -- North Korea Deputy Foreign Minister said his country intended to strengthen ties in all fields with Iran.

Kim Sung-Gi, in a meeting with Iran Ambassador to North Korea on the occasion of 33rd anniversary of Islamic revolution victory, said that late Imam Khomeini released Iran from colonialist dominance and pressure and gave honor to it.

He added that Iranians have neutralized all sanctions and pressures of enemies and have obtained big achievements in the way of progress.

Sung-Gi underlined that North Korean government and nation is proud of Iranian recent measures to protect their peaceful nuclear activities against US and certain western countries pressures.

The senior diplomat said that his country intends to develop friendly ties with Iran in all fields and expand cooperation in political, economic and cultural arena.

Iran Ambassador to North Korea Morteza Moradian also described mutual relations desirable.
