Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)

Pyongyang, June 13 (KCNA) -- The construction of the Huichon Power Station in the northern part of Korea has made a fast progress.

The builders already completed the project of waterway tunnels thousands of meters long in four months, excavating 6 meters a day, 17 meters to the maximum.

The assembling of generating equipment for Huichon Power Station No. 1, which was expected to take six months, was finished in only 40 days.

The method of dam building with prefab concrete parts triples the speed of the project, while ensuring the security of the dam.
