Jagang Province Takes Lead in Building Strong Economy
Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)
Pyongyang, February 18 (KCNA) -- Jagang Province is taking the lead in the effort for turning the Democratic People's Republic of Korea into an economic power.
Many factories in the province have introduced CNC technology in their production processes by themselves.
In particular, the Kanggye Knitted Goods Factory and the Kanggye Wine Factory have updated their production processes on a high level and provided their workers with good conditions for work and life.
The people in the province had suffered more difficulties during the "Arduous March," forced march, compared with those in other provinces.
But they have launched the effort for converting their towns and villages into good places to live in with a firm belief that when they trust in and follow only General Secretary Kim Jong Il they would be well-off soon or later.
They have also succeeded in double cropping a year in spite of such unfavorable circumstances as highlands and low temperature.
