Story of Kim Il Sung
Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)
Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- One summer day in Juche 37 (1948) President Kim Il Sung made a call to the principal of Mangyongdae Revolutionary School to ask about the schoolchildren's summer vacation.
After being briefed on what they were doing during vacation, the President said that the school should organize sightseeing for the parentless schoolchildren with no place to go as those with parents went home, provided with something to eat by the school.
He then suggested that the principal take them to Mt. Kumgang or somewhere so that they could be delighted so much as they were with their parents and that they could enjoy the vacation climbing fantastic peaks like Piro and collecting plants.
His tender-hearted suggestion for the bereaved schoolchildren touched the heartstrings of the principal.
