Pyongyang, May 10 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il inspected the command of KPA Unit 745.
He looked round the room devoted to the history of the unit, guided by its commander.
Praising the unit as a unit of merit that rendered great contribution to the victory in the last Fatherland Liberation War by successfully carrying into practice the operational plan of the Supreme Command at every stage of the war, he urged its servicepersons to carry forward such proud tradition so as to steadily demonstrate the ever-victorious might of the unit.
He acquainted himself with the unit's performance of duty before dropping in at a military lecture room to watch the training of its commanding staff. And he advanced tasks to be fulfilled by the unit in boosting its combat capability.
He underscored the need to concentrate all efforts on military training, saying that the revolutionary duty of soldiers is to conduct training effectively before anything else.
He also went round the soldiers' hall, a library and other entertainment and educational facilities to learn about how the political and ideological work is being conducted among servicepersons.
A fresh turn has been brought in the political and ideological traits and fighting spirit of the servicepersons and the KPA's might considerably strengthened in the present Songun era, he said, adding that no force in the world can match the strength of this great invincible army firmly armed with the spirit of devotedly defending their leader.
