U.S. Imperialists' Reckless War Game Flayed

Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)

Pyongyang, August 28 (KCNA) -- The U.S. imperialists' madcap "Ulji Focus Lens" joint military exercises against the DPRK in south Korea are, no doubt, an undisguised military threat and blackmail and a grave war action against it, states a Rodong Sinmun commentary Monday. The joint military drill based on a simulated swift hurling of massive U.S. reinforcements on to the Korean front and a strong support to it by the south Korean army in a "contingency" on the Korean Peninsula is a renamed replica of the "Team Spirit" joint military exercises, a large-scale three-dimensional nuclear war rehearsal staged earlier, the analyst notes, and continues:
The United States intends to finally check up and round off its preparedness to launch into a nuclear attack upon the north any moment. The "Ulji Focus Lens" is a test war designed to finalize the commanding and operational system of the forces of aggression and give the finishing touch to the war preparations.
Nobody can guarantee that the on-going war game may not go over to an actual war.
The massive military maneuvers of the U.S. are a downright challenge to peace and an ill-advised criminal act bringing dark clouds of war to the Korean Peninsula.
The war game is so grave because it is a war action declaring the Korean Armistice Agreement null and void.
The current developments give a clear answer as to who is chiefly to blame for beclouding the prospect of the settlement of the nuclear issue, escalating the military standoff and tension on the Korean Peninsula and driving the situation to the brink of war. The U.S. imperialists are the very harasser of peace and security of the Korean Peninsula and chief criminal of war.
The U.S. would be well advised to promptly drop its harebrained foolish hope of realizing its wild aggressive ambition against the DPRK by strength, looking straight into the latter's independent stand and will of retaliation.
