Pyongyang, August 28 (KCNA) --The Youth Day, which falls on August 28, is being significantly observed in the DPRK. The youth of the DPRK have fully displayed their dignity and honor as the young vanguard in the Songun era and successors to the Juche revolutionary cause.
The reliable youth, the pride of the nation, are unthinkable apart from the politics of giving preference to the youth affairs originated by President Kim Il Sung.
It is the youth-centered politics, which brings up the youth as dependable successors to the revolution, makes them pace-setters in all work and raises their vanguard role in the revolution and construction so as to defend and vigorously carry on the revolutionary cause of Songun.
The President, who embarked upon the road of revolution in his teens, directed great attention to the issue as regards the vanguard which would shoulder the future Korean revolution while fathering the immortal Juche idea.
He penetrated deep into the good disposition of youth who are hot-blooded and sensitive to the new and defy death for justice and truth.
He, basing himself of this, advanced the idea of attaching importance to the youth who can display matchless courage in the revolutionary struggle as the vanguard of the revolution when they are awakened and organized.
With the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU) in October 1926, he raised the anchor of the Korean revolution. And he organized the Young Communist League of Korea, the vanguard organization in August 1927, to guide all the anti-Japanese mass organizations in a unified way.
Having founded the Anti-Japanese People's Guerrilla Army with young revolutionaries of new generation as its backbone on April 25, Juche 21 (1932), he launched the war against the Japanese imperialists and thus achieved the historical cause of national liberation.
During the hard-fought anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, the President, looking ahead to the distant future of revolution, set forth the slogan "Love the future!" And he had provided best things to the children in his lifetime. His warm love for the children and youth produced a lot of legends.
His youth-centered politics is being successfully carried forward by Kim Jong Il.
It is entirely thanks to the politics that the red flag of revolution continues to flutter and socialism makes a long drive in the DPRK.
