Respect Paid to President Kim Il Sung

    Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- People from all walks of life visited the Kumsusan Memorial Palace on August 15 to pay respect to President Kim Il Sung on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the liberation of the country. Amid the solemn playing of "Song of General Kim Il Sung", they entered the hall to pay their respects to the statue of the President.
    When they entered the hall where the President lies in state, they made a bow to him in humble reverence.
    They looked round with deep emotion the Mourning Hall with the portrait of the smiling President and a train which he used during his on-the-spot guidance and visits to foreign countries and a car he used in the last period of his life.
    The delegation of the Russian Orthodox Church led by its Chairman of the Office for Foreign Relations Kirill, patriarch of Smolensk and Kaliningrad Regions, also visited the Kumsusan Memorial Palace to pay homage to the President on the same day.
