U.S. Plan to Use Nukes against DPRK Disclosed

    Pyongyang, February 22 (KCNA) -- It was recently disclosed that the U.S. had a plan to use nukes against the DPRK in 1975, according to the KBS of south Korea. This was disclosed by a confidential document of the Command of the U.S. Forces in the Pacific.
    The document confirmed the fact that missile and artillery batteries of the U.S. forces equipped with nukes were stationed in south Korea in 1975 and there was the possibility of their use of nukes as deterrent to beat back "invasion by the north". It was also mentioned in the document that the then U.S. secretary of Defense directly referred to the tactical use of nukes on the Korean Peninsula, in particular.
