- US / NORTH KOREA VOA 16 Dec 2004 -- The U.S. ambassador to South Korea says there is a united front among the five countries negotiating with North Korea on its nuclear program, despite suggestions from China, South Korea and Japan that the United States be more flexible or creative in the negotiations. VOA's Stephanie Ho reports from Washington, where the U.S. ambassador and South Korea's ambassador to Washington recently addressed the issue.

- U.S. Scenario for Preemptive Attack under Fire KCNA 16 Dec 2004 -- The United States officially announced on November 30 that it completed the deployment of "PAC" units in south Korea by finishing the deployment of two "PAC-3" battalions under the "plan to bolster the combat capability" of the U.S. troops in south Korea.
