On May 28, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov met with Special Advisor to the President of the Federative Republic of Brazil for Foreign Policy Celso Luiz Nunes Amorim, who is participating in the 13th International Meeting of High Representatives in charge of security issues (Moscow, May 27-29).
Sergey Lavrov and Amorim exchanged views on the current international situation and certain global problems in a substantive and frank manner. They paid particular attention to the Ukraine crisis. They also emphasised the mutual intention to further deepen coordination of Moscow's and Brasilia's efforts in multilateral platforms, first and foremost in the United Nations, the G20 and BRICS, where Brazil holds the chairmanship this year.
