KEY FACILITIES
Bioscience Division Facilities
The High-Throughput Gene Cloning and Protein Production Facility is a cloning and protein production facility developed with the National Institutes of Health's Protein Structure Initiative. It has 2500 square feet of wet lab space for molecular cloning and evolution, fermentation, protein purification, and protein analysis and characterization.
The DOE Joint Genome Institute is used by LANL, along with Lawrence Berkeley, Lawrence Livermore, Los Alamos, Oak Ridge, and Pacific Northwest.
The National Flow Cytometry Resource (NFCR), funded by the National Center for Research Resources through the National Institutes of Health, develops advanced flow cytometry instrumentation and applications.
The Protein Crystallography Station (PCS) at the Lujan Neutron Scattering Center at LANSCE is used to study the structure and dynamics of proteins, biological polymers, and membranes.
