Piloted Transport Ship (PTK)

Piloted Transport Ship (PTK)The Khrunichev Center developed its proposals for the Piloted Transport Ship (PTK pilotiruemogo transportnogo korablya / pilotiruemyiy transportnyiy korabl] on the basis of "its" part of the project "Concepts for the development of manned space flight in Russia for the period until 2040-2050", developed by TsNIIMash with the involvement of the Khrunichev Space Center. MV Khrunichev and RSC Energia them. SP Korolev and submitted for approval in 2005.

The main proposals of the GKNPTS im. M.V. Khrunichev in the conception consist in the step-by-step creation of space facilities that ensure the solution of long-term tasks both under federal programs and within the framework of international cooperation in the implementation of large-scale manned projects of major universal importance. One of the most important principles of the proposed concept is a pragmatic approach to the implementation of national programs and to participation in international manned programs, according to which it is proposed to create promising space vehicles with high technical and operational characteristics at minimal cost.

The proposed scheme of the returned vehicle is based on the constructive scheme of the returned vehicle (products 11F74) of the supply vehicle (11F72), which has undergone field tests and confirmed high reliability and safety indicators. The chosen form of the returned device corresponds to successfully tested in the world practice (Soyuz, Apollo, Miraculous Rook). Placement of the manhole in the frontal part of the returned device allows to increase the volume of the habitable compartment by installing an additional habitable module that provides the duration of the autonomous flight up to 30 days.

On the basis of a manned transport ship with minimal modifications, light (14,500 kg) and heavy (up to 24,000 kg) modifications can be created to solve other particular problems. They are supposed to be put into orbit with the help of the Angara-3P rocket (for unmanned modifications of the KK-LV Angara-3) and Angara-5, respectively. In total, 7 modifications of the manned transport vehicle (PTK), including the basic configuration, have been worked out.

The aerodynamic characteristics of the modifications of the returned vehicle provide entry into the Earth's atmosphere with hypersonic aerodynamic quality of 0.4 at the first and second space velocities. The state and prospects for the development of the production and testing base of the State Scientific and Production Space Center. MV Khrunichev and cooperative enterprises, as well as the state of work on the "Angara" and "Baiterek" confirm the possibility of creating by 2012-2013. manned space complex of a new generation with a basic manned transport ship. At the same time, the costs of development work to create a manned space complex (the creation of a basic modification of a manned spacecraft, the development of the Angara-A3 LV for manned launches, the upgrading of the technical and launch complex.
