Overview (U):
(U) Kaena Point consists of a C-band mechanical which supports the test and evaluation of U.S. ICBM and space launches. As an ancillary mission, this radar spends approximately 128 hours a week supporting the space surveillance mission. This radar operates in the 5,400-5,900 MHz range with a narrow beam which provides accurate data but limited search capability.
