Temarario (Kondor class)
patrol minesweepers

These ships from the former German Democratic Republic were built at the Peene - Werft Wolgast shipyard in 1971. They were transferred with some sweep gear but used mostly for patrol. These ships belong to the Kondor II Class, which is a modification of the Kondor I class. Together with their predecessors they formed the Forces of Sweepings of the former German Democratic Republic, which operated in the Baltic Sea. This marks an important quality of design in the ships, consistent in its condition of Coastal Barrerminas.

In mid-September 1991, the first group of Uruguayans traveled to Germany to man the four Barreminas (Commanders and Chiefs of Machines), the rest of the crews arriving on the last day of the month.

The familiarization courses with the ships begin immediately, the schedules planned by the German Navy must be totally modified, since they had been prepared for people with almost null marine knowledge. On October 11, a cold autumn morning in Neustadt in Holstein, a small town bathed by a fjord in the German North, the wind of the Baltic Sea fluttered the homeland, raised for the first time on the stern pole the flag.

The familiarization courses continue from the flag, with the ships manned and commanded by personnel of the National Navy, leaving to sail frequently, in only a month and a half it was tried to know it more possible on the equipment, not only of navigation and Communications but also of sweeping, time also used to put to the point ships that were stopped, with minimum creations. On November 13, in the afternoon, the barreminas left the German Naval Base to bow to their new homeland, being fired by some fists in the air. On December 28th, under a bright summer sun, to the sound of the band of Parada, the ships will tie firmly to the National Territory.
