The ROU 22 "OYARVIDE" is defined as a Scientific Ship (Decree 260/98), and its mission is to obtain oceanographic and hydrographic information, in order to support the Navy in the fulfillment of its mission. Ex-German; also can serve as harbor icebreaker and a tug.
