The state enterprise "Lviv State Aircraft Repair Plant" informs that in accordance with the order of the DK "Ukroboronprom" No. 272 dated 13.07.2021 and the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1595-r dated 09.12.2021, a decision was made to terminate the state enterprise "Lviv State Aviation and Repair Plant" Aviation Repair Plant" through reorganization - transformation into a limited liability company "Lviv Aviation Repair Plant".

KiGAZ "AVIANT" Kiev State Aircraft Plant [Lvivskyi Derzhavny AviaRemont Zavod] was founded in 1920 for aircraft repair and overhaul. On October 15, 1939, in Lviv, on the basis of the former hangars of the 6th repair base of the Air Force of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, aviation workshops with the conditional designation "133 stationary aviation workshops (SAM)" were created, the main purpose of which was to carry out restorative repairs of aircraft equipment in use in the western region of the Soviet Union.

During the Second World War, the company's specialists were involved in the repair and maintenance of aircraft of various designs, including Lavochkin, Yakovlev, Petlyakov, etc. Il-2 attack aircraft (Ilyushin). Its best modification – Il-10, was assembled at the factory in series. Since the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, "133 SAM" was part of the South-Western Front. "Everything for the front, everything for victory" - this was the truth of the war years. "133 SAM" switched to a 24-hour mode of operation, introduced daily tasks, set strict repair deadlines.

During the war, "133 SAM" repaired and handed over to the active army 1,287 aircraft of various types, 2,820 aircraft engines, a large number of aircraft weapons, radio and special equipment. During 1944-1945, "133 SAM" assembled 800 new IL-10 combat aircraft from components obtained from serial aircraft factories.

"Victory in the air is forged on the ground! ” – this was the motto of aviators - repairmen. In September 1946, "133 Stationary Aviation Workshops" (SAM) were renamed "272 Aviation Repair Base" (ARB). On May 15, 1947, "272 ARB" was renamed "352 ARB". In 1953, the first stage of the enterprise's activity ended - the repair of first-generation aircraft (piston aviation), during which the repair of 16 types of aircraft was mastered.

Until 1953, "133 SAM" carried out the repair of aviation equipment in service with the Red Army. On October 1, 1953, "352 ARB" received the status of an aviation repair plant. Since 1953, the era of jet aircraft repair begins at the plant. The aviation specialization of the plant was determined - light front-line fighters and fighter-bombers of the "MiG" type. The MiG-15 fighter jet became the factory's "first-born" jet fighter. The MiG-15 fighter jet was the first jet fighter repaired at the factory. The MiG-17 fighter is a second-generation jet fighter, repaired in 1953-62. From 1953 to 1979, the plant repaired aircraft of the second generation:

Due to the conversion of MiG-17 and MiG-21 aircraft, the factory also organized the production of M-17M, M-17MM, M-17PF and M-21 target aircraft. Since 1979, the plant began to repair aircraft of the third generation: MiG-23 and MiG-27 of all modifications. In the period from 1983 to 1989, the plant converted MiG-27 aircraft into MiG-27D aircraft. In 1989, the ten thousandth jet aircraft was repaired at the plant. The MiG-27 fighter is a jet fighter of the third generation, repaired since 1979.

Plant renders whole scope of services on steady aircraft operation: guarantee maintenance; spare parts supply; carrying out the schedule maintenance and repair works of all kinds; retraining flight and technical personnel. Plant renders wide scope of engineering services. It manufactures trolley bases, wind power-plants (20, 420 KW), low-pressure chambers, wasting machines and consumer goods; equipment appliances, tools ( according to the customer's documentation)

In autumn of 2003 at Kiev aircraft overhaul plant 410 the works on restoration of a single copy of famous reconnaissance aircraft ANT-7 (P-6) was completed. The aircraft was restored according to drawings and photos provided by "TUPOLEV" PSC. Build in 1929 under A.N. Tupolev Management and restored by Ukrainian aircraft specialists the aircraft is currently kept in the hangar of National Ukrainian Aircraft University. The aircraft is supposed to be the eldest exhibit of Government Aircraft Museum which is currently being built on the basis of the University. Reconnaissance The unique fate of said aircraft was told in the article "Witness of three tragedies".

The attention of the mass media, and not only domestic ones, is also attracted by the facts of corruption in the Ukrainian defense industry. In particular, a publication in the well-known American publication The New York Times was recently devoted to the facts of corruption at the Lviv State Aircraft Repair Plant (LDARZ). For its part, on its official website, DK "Ukroboronprom" reported in the second half of February 2018 that this American publication contains facts of distortion of information.

And it was further emphasized that, "according to the results of the official investigation, the head of the enterprise O. Kravchuk was brought to disciplinary responsibility. The materials discovered in 2016-2017 regarding the embezzlement of funds by LDARZ officials during the purchase of goods and tangible assets from interconnected commercial structures (five in total) were handed over to the General Prosecutor's Office, NABU and SBU." In addition, the same message noted that "it was thanks to the internal control measures of the concern that since 2014, 185 materials with signs of abuse and corruption at the enterprises of Ukroboronrom were handed over to law enforcement agencies." 42 criminal proceedings have been initiated against them. As a result of the management measures taken, 28 heads of enterprises were removed from their positions, and another 70 officials were brought to disciplinary action."

The MiG-29 fighter is a fourth-generation fighter. One of the most popular jet fighters in the world, constantly being modernized and repaired at LDARZ from 1992 to the present. In 1992, the development of the repair of fourth-generation aircraft began - the MiG-29 aircraft of various modifications. In the same year, Lviv State Aircraft Repair Plant "LDARZ" received the status of a State Enterprise of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. "LDARZ" has always been a leading enterprise for the repair of MiG-type aircraft and is deservedly considered one of the best in this field.

The team of LDARZ State Enterprise, the only enterprise in Ukraine and part of Ukroboronprom State Enterprise that repairs and modernizes MiG-29 aircraft, is working on increasing the defense capability of our military in today's conditions. The company is modernizing this aviation equipment in cooperation with a dozen organizations and enterprises of Ukraine. In the course of this modernization, the fighter was overhauled with the extension of the resource at the enterprise in Lviv, the receiver of the satellite navigation system SN-3307 manufactured by "Orizon-Navigation" integrated into the BREO was installed on the aircraft (due to which the accuracy of navigation and the range of the use of automated means of instrument landing were increased) , specialists of "Fazotron-Ukraine" replaced the H019-09 receiver unit of the H019 onboard radar (which made it possible to increase its reliability due to the use of a new, more modern element base up to 10,000 - 20,000 hours). In addition, the frequency range of the radio station has been expanded to meet ICAO requirements.

As part of the implementation of the state defense order, the specialists of the state-owned enterprise "Lviv State Aviation Repair Plant" modernized the systems and equipment, and extended the resource indicators of the aircraft. In particular, new avionics and overhauled engines were installed on the plane. "Everyone in our team takes pride in the slightest opportunity to support and show respect for military pilots. So, the modernized fighter MiG-29MU1 (b/n 19) is the best thing we can do for our military in the current conditions," noted the director of the enterprise, Dmytro Matrunchyk.

Repair of modern aviation equipment is a complex high-tech process that requires high production organization and clear technical support. When repairing an aircraft, hundreds of technological processes, high-precision equipment are used, a significant amount of materials, spare parts, components, technological, repair and regulatory and technical documentation are used.

In order to obtain a lean system for the movement of thousands of disassembled parts of a repaired aircraft, for the first time in the practice of repairing aircraft, the technology of the so-called node repair method was developed and implemented at LDARZ, which made it possible to significantly increase the level of repair quality, the reliability of repaired aircraft, as well as reduce the cost and time of work.

The aircraft repair cycle is divided into several stages. At the first stage , the aircraft is subject to preliminary inspection and complete disassembly. During disassembly, the aircraft is conditionally divided into the appropriate number of technological compartments, each of which consists of a so-called technological kit, which is designed in the form of a technological list. The list contains all the information necessary for the organization of the strictly defined movement of dismantled equipment, units, assemblies and parts, starting with disassembly and ending with the assembly of the aircraft.

At the second stage , the removed units and equipment of the aircraft are sent to the appropriate repair shops, and the airframe, detached wing consoles and the pilot's cabin light - to the specialized parts of the repair shop. When repairing an aircraft airframe, the qualifications and experience of the specialists of the specialized departments of the repair shop allow us to qualitatively analyze the technical condition of the airframe and, if necessary, repair the power set and skin, fully restoring the aerodynamic characteristics of the aircraft.

Cabin lamp repair and testing area - glass grinding and polishing. Defect and repair of the pilot's cabin light of the "MiG" type aircraft is carried out using special technological equipment, which makes it possible not only to restore the aerodynamic qualities of the cabin light, but also to ensure its trouble-free firing when the pilot is ejected. Airtightness of fuel tanks and tanks - caissons of the wing of the aircraft is restored by the method of their internal watering with sealant on a special rotary hydrostand, which was developed and implemented at the enterprise.

During the repair of aviation weapons, aviation and radio-electronic equipment of the aircraft, thanks to the introduction of modern means of monitoring the operation of complex systems at the enterprise, their fault-free and reliable operation during operation is ensured.

The workplace of computer diagnostics – conducting computer diagnostics of printed circuit boards of electronic units. Diagnostics and repair of aneroid-membrane devices, control-recording equipment, fuel-metering-flow measuring systems, automatic control systems (ACS), radio compasses, laser rangefinders, radar systems is carried out with extensive use of modern computer technology.

At the third stage of repair, the repaired equipment, blocks and aggregates are installed with a final check of the functionality of all aircraft systems. Functionality control is carried out using specially developed technological equipment, created on the basis of microprocessor technology. These developments allow comprehensive control of all aircraft systems after assembly and ensure a high level of repair quality in a short period of time.

The MK-9.12M mobile complex makes it possible to automatically check the functionality of the equipment after installing it on the aircraft. The company's specialists modernized the serial version of the MK-9.12 complex, replacing the outdated personal computer with a modern computer with the development of appropriate software, which significantly expanded the capabilities of the mobile complex. To control and find malfunctions in the electric harnesses of the AOz, AO and REO systems of the aircraft during the repair process, a special panel for automatic control of on-board electric harnesses developed and implemented by the company's specialists is used.

At the fourth stage, the specialists of the control and testing station (KVS) check the performance of all aircraft systems and the operation of the engine. With the help of the universal remote control, control of the starting and control systems of the aircraft engine modes is carried out, as well as checking the operating parameters of the electronic automatic start and control of the engine.

The fifth and final stage of the repair is the final test of the aircraft - the sky test. At the company's flight test station (FST) during pre-flight training, the aircraft undergoes ground control of all technical parameters. Control of parameters is carried out with the help of automated information processing consoles of the "Tester" and "BERKUT" systems. The final test is the test of heaven. The plane was flown, the repair was performed "excellently".
