    Variants
  • "Ilya Muromets" type B, Kiev - the first serial modification. The name is given in honor of the flight of the first car of this version on the route Petersburg-Kiev on June 16-17, 1914. The motors "Argus" and "Salmson", weapons one or three machine guns, 37 mm cannon, which was later removed. Bombs are placed inside the fuselage on a mechanical suspension;
  • "Ilya Muromets" type B, lightened, the aircraft is somewhat smaller in size and mass, better adapted for combat use. "Sanbim", 150 hp, although there were also early engines, a narrower wing was used, the car was as light as possible, the bombs on the inside-body suspension, for armament were used 5-6 machine guns of Maxim or Vickers, the series was about 300 machines;
  • "Ilya Muromets" type G, with a wide wing, the fuselage was changed, beam bomb racks were added, defensive weapons were strengthened, it was equipped with all types of engines, both domestic production and purchased abroad, with an average power of 150-160 hp;
  • "Ilya Muromets" type G-2 (reinforced, wide-winged): from previous versions, it was distinguished primarily by powerful protective weapons. In the tail end of the fuselage, there is an arrow booth with the Lewis machine gun pivot. Two more machine guns on the shooting range in the cutout of the upper wing (or in the hatch arrangement on the roof of the fuselage behind the wing) and one at the fuselage windows. In general, the weapons provided almost spherical shelling, but the bomb load was reduced to 170-180 kg, which was too small for such a large car. 8 aircraft of the G-2 series were built.
  • "Ilya Muromets" type G-3: the most well-armed modification of the "Muromets". Five more machine guns, mounted on the G-2, added one more in the lower hatch. The skeleton of the fuselage and wings was strengthened, some changes were made to the petrol system and control system. The bomb load is 190 kg. Before the revolution, 8 copies were issued.
  • "Ilya Muromets" type G-4: the same as the G-3, but the safety margin of the power kit is increased from 3.5-fold to 4.5-fold. In the spring-summer of 1917, about 10 pieces were built.
  • "Ilya Muromets" type D, tandem installation "Sanbin" in 150 hp. The forward part of the fuselage is completely glazed. Engines - 4 "Sanbima" for 150 hp. in two tandems. The effectiveness of tandem power plants was low, and the flight performance of the aircraft was unsatisfactory. In combat these aircraft did not participate. It was planned to use them for the Arctic expedition in the early 20's. Three units were issued;
  • "Ilya Muromets" type E, Renault engines in 220 hp. The latest model of the aircraft, released about 10 pieces, with the bulk of the after-revolution from the background of the details. Was distinguished by excellent defensive weapons with a greater range of flight and carrying capacity.
  • "Ilya Muromets" for the Maritime Department, equipped with strong engines and a float chassis, the aircraft was tested, but practically did not take part in the hostilities.
