Project 10410 Svetlyak PSKR

Border patrol ships (PSKR) of project 10410 have proven themselves to be excellent in protecting the sea borders of the Motherland. To date, more than 40 units have been built. The project 10410 border patrol ship is designed to carry out patrol services in the coastal zone.

Created according to project 10410B, which was prepared by the joint-stock company Central Marine Design Bureau Almaz in St. Petersburg, these ships use the latest scientific developments in the field of communications, information technology and automation. The main task is the coast guard. The total displacement of each is over 400 tons. The "watchdogs" are equipped with an AK-306 30-mm artillery mount and 12.7 mm machine guns. They can reach a maximum speed of over 28 knots. The autonomy of the ship is estimated at 20 days.

The Project 10412 Svetlyak-class patrol boat designed to carry out a variety of missions is an economical and easy-to-operate ship featuring optimal hull configuration. The automated diesel power plant provides high full speed (up to 30 knots) and long endurance (up to 2,200 miles). The boat can effectively operate both in moderate and hot climate, employ weapons in sea point up to 5, and safely navigate in sea point up to 7. The ship is powered by a three-shaft diesel propulsion plant comprising three 3,530 kW (4,800 hp) diesel engines.

The Project 10412 patrol boat is intended to prevent violations of maritime state borders, to protect friendly vessels and facilities from enemy surface and air attacks, to monitor Exclusive Economic Zones, to protect natural resources areas and coastal lines of communications, etc.

On 06 October 2021, in Vladivostok, two new ships for the border guards of the FSB, produced by the Vostochnaya Verf shipyard, were commissioned. One of the "patrolmen" is called "Nakhodka" and will soon go on patrol off the coast of Primorye, and the second - "Nevelsk" - will serve near Sakhalin.

The ceremony of commissioning the border ships was held solemnly - with a stage, an orchestra and an audience. Hundreds of people gathered at the technological wall of the Vostochnaya Verf JSC enterprise, where the Nakhodka and Nevelsk moored. Among the guests were shipbuilders, their friends and relatives, as well as Yungi Yunarmiya dressed in naval uniforms. Ahead in a separate formation flaunted the crews of new "patrol" with green gaps on the shoulder straps. It was they who got the new ships. Relatives and friends also came to congratulate many of the sailors.

The head of the border department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Primorsky Territory, Major General Dmitry Yudin, representative of the Legislative Assembly of the Territory Alexander Rolik, Acting First Vice Governor of Primorye Dmitry Mariza, Mayor of Nakhodka Timur Maginsky and Bishop Innokentiy of Ussuriysk thanked the plant for the successfully built ships. Major General Dmitry Yudin was the first to take the solemn word. The head of the coastal border guards said that the development and prosperity of Russia is impossible without reliable protection of the Far Eastern and Arctic borders.

“Historically, the protection of the population, the territorial integrity of the country, wealth, resources of the region is the most important task of border guards of all generations. The solemn raising of the flag of ships, boats and vessels of the border authorities, of which we are today, is a significant event not only for the crew members and their families, not only for the employees of the enterprise, but also for our entire management. Today, the security forces include the Nakhodka and Nevelsk patrol ships built at Vostochnaya Verf. These are modern models with high speed characteristics, high autonomy, increased degree of automation, having the necessary weapons and comfortable conditions of service, ”said Major General Dmitry Yudin .

He explained that the honorary naming of the new ships was no coincidence. Thus, the glorious tradition of border guards continues. For example, PSKR "Nakhodka" is the successor of the ship of the same name of the II rank of project 1241. It served in Primorye for 22 years as part of the local border administration. While guarding the Far Eastern borders, he detained a total of more than 400 violators. Another example is the border ship "Nevelsk", whose name also passed to another "patrolman". From 1990 to 2012, he actively served as part of the neighboring Border Administration for the Sakhalin Region. More than 13,000 miles aft and 112 trespassers detained.

“Based on the results of operational service, the predecessors were repeatedly recognized as the best in their formations. I am sure that the crews of the ships of the second generation will honor traditions and increase their merits in protecting the state border of the exclusive economic zone and the continental shelf of the Russian Federation, ”Dmitry Yudin emphasized. He also separately thanked the management and staff of Vostochnaya Verf. He noted their work and spiritual contribution to the creation of ships. The chief border guard of Primorye presented the departmental flags to the commanders of the new "patrolmen". Both sailors first kissed the banners of the border authorities, and then fastened them to the flagpole. To the music of the orchestra, the banners were raised, and along with them the colored flags. Now 6 October will be considered the birthday of both ships for border guards. And for sailors, it means a kind of person's birthday.

The yard had been building ships for over three years. Laid down the "Nakhodka" and "Nevelsk" on the slipway of the Vladivostok enterprise back in 2017. Three years later, they launched and carried out outfitting work, and then carried out mooring, factory and state tests. Both ships are twin brothers. Created according to project 10410B, which was prepared by the joint-stock company Central Marine Design Bureau Almaz in St. Petersburg. These ships use the latest scientific developments in the field of communications, information technology and automation. They can go to sea with waves up to 7 points.

Dmitry Mariza, acting first vice-governor of Primorye, congratulated the border guards and factory workers on behalf of the governor. He stressed that the new ships are impressive in their versatility and tactical and technical characteristics.

“They allow you to perform a wide range of combat missions to protect and guard the state border at sea in full, participate in the fight against terrorism, provide search and rescue operations, and repel a military attack on the territory of the Russian Federation. Today's event is a significant event for us, Primorye residents. The availability of new modern technology capable of promptly responding to security threats in the border area instills firm confidence in the protection and safety of the residents of the Primorsky Territory, ”said Dmitry Mariza.

At the end of the event, Bishop Innokenty of Ussuri performed the rite of consecrating the ships and crew members. “I wish all of you, dear brothers and sisters, soldiers of Christ, that the strength of bodily and spiritual strength will accompany you in your military service,” said the priest and sprinkled first the sailors, and then the “watchmen” with holy water. So that, according to him, their works could be performed without hindrance.
