Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP)
KCP was formed by a dissident group of Maipak Sharma, a faction of People Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak led by Mr Ibohanbi with the objective of winning freedom and formation of egalitarian society for the Kangleipak (Manipur) through an armed struggle.
Nexus.
KCP maintains cordial relation with all Valley Based Insurgent Groups and have nexus with United National Liberation Front, People's Liberation Front, People Revolutionary Party Of Kangleipak and Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup .
Present Status.
Its activities are restricted to extortion. The group suffered a serious setback after split in its leaders and today it stands divided between KCP (President) and KCP (General Secretary) factions. KK Mangang @ Leibabkmacha Singh was the Self Style President and Laba @ Nayan was the General Secretary who head the President and General Secretary factions respectively. Besides these two a number of minor factions also exist in the group. These minor factions are KCP (Lamphel), Kangleipok Communist Party (City Meitei), KCP (KK Nagba) and KCP (Kokoi) named after their leaders. The group is maintaining a low profile as of now and United National Liberation Front has been trying to unite its factions.
