Sanjwal Cantonment
The Sanjwal Ordinance Factory is the the Czech-supplied Heavy Artillery Ammunition Factory of Pakistan Ordnance Factories is located in Sanjwal Cantt. (Attock). The ammunition factory at Sanjwal built with Chinese assistance added a computerized plant at the Pakistan Ordinance Factories at Sanjwal with French technical collaboration to meet the need for heavy artillery shells [large-caliber artillery ammunition (122-203 mm].
In 2003 prolonged power breakdown in Sanjwal, and rural areas of Attock districts were playing havoc with rural dwellers. Peoples of villages Daur Dad, Saqa Abad, Bolian Wal, Kahautra, Bathu and Kawa Pind Tarer have complained that Islamabad Electric Supply Co (IESCO). In May 2005 a blast has occurred in Pakistan Ordinance Factory (POF) Sanjwal Ordinance Factory, in which two people have reportedly died and many are injured.
