The transmission is Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' MT1500, which is an automatic transmission with 4 forward speeds and 2 reverse speeds. A torque converter with a lock-up mechanism and a planetary gear mechanism are included as a set, enabling smooth turning with a hydrostatic system. The transmission and engine are integrated as a pack system, and can be replaced in about 30 minutes. The fuel basically uses light oil, but it also works with JP-4 jet fuel.
