Type 2 Ho Ri

Although it was unable to participate in the battle, the Japanese army still moved the magic of the mind to change Type 95 heavy tank. In the end, there were two plans to change the battle into a tank destroyer. The plan is called tank destroyer ji ro vehicle (Hi-Ro Sha).

The first plan has a very large change to the vehicle body. It can be seen from the drawings that the engine that was originally located at the rear of the vehicle body is moved forward, and the rear of the vehicle body is vacated as a battle room. The cab is still at the forefront of the vehicle body. This plan is equipped with a 92-inch cannon on the chassis of the tank. This cannon was mass-produced in 1935 and had a diameter of 45 times. According to the "Research of the Japanese Army" In the information on the effectiveness of the existing squadrons in the cadre of the cadres of the Self-Defense Forces of the Land Self-Defense Forces, the ninety-two can penetrate the steel plate of 175mm thickness at a distance of 100m. However, the type of the shell in this record is unknown, and the model of the penetrated steel plate is unknown. Some modern observers think the overall credibility is not high.

The other plan, and the only one that was implemented, had minor changes to the vehicle body, mainly to remove the small turret and main turret from the front, and then to install a fast-fire cannon and its ancillary facilities. The Hiro sha was an open top SPG with the gun in the front of the tank with a thin shield for light gun and shrapnel. the main and front auxiliary turret was removed from the original type 95, only the rear turret remain, the gained space was for the new gun. his crew and ammunition. according to the Japanese information release of the Ji-Ro experimental tanks, the gun was a Japanese imported Schneider Carnet 1898 that was originally used as coastal defense but withdrawn from active services in the 1930s.

One of the tanks was converted into this type of tank destroyer, which was photographed at Takeyama Airport in the entrance of the Tokyo Bay, but the whereabouts are still unknown.
