MSC Sugashima Class

In 2003 AMS was awarded a contract by the NEC Corporation of Japan to supply the NAUTIS-3M command system for the Japanese Sugashima-class minesweeper (coastal). This followed the updated Licence and Technical Assistance Agreement placed in 2002. The first NAUTIS-M command systems were supplied to Japan in 1996, for the minesweeper fleet. NAUTIS-3M is based on modern commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) technology and, for the Japanese minesweeper, has been configured to fit within the existing NAUTIS-M console manufactured by NEC.
