37th Armored Brigade
The 37th Armored Brigade was oen of two armored brigades accompanying six Israeli infantry brigades in preparation for attacks against Egyptian forces during the Sinai Campaign of 1956. During the Sinai Campaign, the 27th Armored Brigade participated in the battle for Abu Agelia and although Israeli troops met with strong initial resistance, the Egyptian forces eventually retreated in the face of being cut off by Israeli reinforcements.
