27th Armored Brigade
The 27th Armored Brigade was oen of two armored brigades accompanying six Israeli infantry brigades in preparation for attacks against Egyptian forces during the Sinai Campaign of 1956. During the Sinai Campaign, the 27th Armored Brigade was under the command of Colonel Chaim Bar-Lev. The 27th Armored Brigade participated in the battle for Rafah and successfully routed the Egyptian defenses.
