15th Battalion
3rd Battalion, 2nd Brigade
With the reogranization of the Iraqi Army the the 15th Battalion was redesignated the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Brigade in the 3rd Division.
Graduation in mid-March 2005 at An Numaniyah included soldiers of the what was then the 15th Battalion, 5th Brigade, 3rd Division. The graduation in conjunction with soldiers from the 13th, and 14th battalions sent an additonal 3,000 news soldiers into Iraq.
