Zahedan Airbase, 13th Tactical Air Base

Zahedan Air Base (N29 28 27.46 E60 54 40.94) is located in the city of Zahedan, 15 miles from the Pakistani border. There are two runways at the air base (13943 x 148 feet and 13993 x 98 feet). The base is under the Eastern Command and houses elements the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Air Force. As of 2008 the 131st Tactical Fighter Squadron and another unspecified squadron were reported to be at Zahedan. The unspecified squadron was reported to fly the Chinese F-7M fighter, while it was unclear what type of aircraft were operated by the 131st. It was also believed that Zahedan served as a base for Iranian Sahab-3 ballistic missiles.
