The radar has a tracking capability of 100 targets simultaneously and is designed for radar cross-sectional objects (RCS) of 4 square meters, about 200 kilometers. Due to the appearance of the radar of the era, the directional change in the direction of the waves is carried out only in the vertical direction based on phase change, since the radar has the ability to rotate in the horizontal plane, which is used for scanning in this direction.

Due to the use of advanced technologies and digital processors, the radar subsystems have a small amount of space and this advantage in combat vehicles, which is of great importance to the use of the space available, is worth a lot. In addition, the radar has a low power consumption and is said to have the ability to track surface targets.

The meteorological radar, the first state-of-the-art meteorological radar developed by Iran, is used to monitor the changes in cloud conditions, movement, density, and some other features in a remarkable range.

The radar works on the X-band, and its range is 200 kilometers, and estimates the density of the clouds and their probability of being pre-grounded based on the information received from the clouds. During the year, researchers have built this radar, which has been carefully selected from some other similar examples and has led to a lack of dependence on other countries.
