LPH - Landing Platform, Helicopter
An ambition which is currently enabled by the success in developing the 50,000 tons of cargo ships, is in the form of the building of Helicopter Carriers. The Government allocated funds Rp70 billion for the procurement of small aircraft carrier [kapal induk kecil] during 2009 to strengthen the fleet of Ocean Bodies Security Coordinator (Bakorkamla) in the region as well as care and supervision of sovereignty.
"The ships will be produced at the shipyards in the country with a relatively high local content," said Chief Executive Daily (Kalakhar) Bakorkamla, Admiral TNI Budhi Hardjo, after opening a themed seminar management and Understanding the ocean State Border Treaty Territory of the Republic of Indonesia Unity (NKRI.) in Jakarta 04/22/2009.
