Denmark - Air Force / Flyvertaktisk Kommando

The Danish F-16 fighter aircraft are based at Fighter Wing Skrydstrup Jutland. Besides the regular training and education of pilots, they have 30 operational F-16 Fighting Falcon numerous other tasks.

The Air Force transport aircraft is based at Air Transport Wing Aalborg in Aalborg Air Base. Hercules transport aircraft and Challenger aircraft belongs to Squadron 721, which deals with many different tasks.

Air Force helicopters all belong at the Helicopter Wing Karup at Karup. At Squadron 722 is the rescue helicopter EH101 Merlin Squadron 723 houses Lynx helicopter while Fennec belong to at Squadron 724. Additionally Flying School also part of the Helicopter Wing Karup.

Air Control Wing monitors Danish airspace and controlling military aircraft from radar images. Besides the stationary units have Air Control Wing also more mobile radars and associated control center that can be deployed in international operations.

The EAS Expeditionary Air Staff is a small and dynamic entity which has two main tasks. Besides leading the air forces Expeditionary Air Straff continuously involved in the development of the Air Force through studio work.

Air Force Training Centre is also called the gateway to the Air Force. This is where most people start their career in the Air Force, but the training is also difficult to ignore for the permanent staff, as it accounts for a large part of their continuing training.
