O Kum Chol
Air Force Commander (Colonel)
Succeeding Choe Kwang, O Kook Ryul and Jo Myong Rok, O Kum Chol became the Air Force Commander in 1995. He is a graduate of the Kimchaek Air Force University, a training institute for Air Force cadets, and is known to be the son of O Baek Ryong, who served as a member of the Political Bureau and the Worker and Peasant Red Guard. He was a member of the 9th and 10th Supreme People's Assemblies, and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General in 1992 and to Colonel in 1995.
