Jang Song U
Commander of the 3rd Army Corps (General)
Jang Song U is the oldest brother of Jang Song Taek, who is known to be one of the most powerful men in North Korea. With the status of being the brother of Jang Song Taek, he assumed key titles such as the Director of the Reconnaissance Department of the Office of the General Staff, and the First Deputy Director and Political Director of the Public Security Ministry. In October 1995, he emerged as the commander of the military parade to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the KWP, which indicates the level of his stature in the regime.
He served as a member of the KWP Central Committee and the 7th-10th Supreme People's Assemblies, and was promoted to General in April 1992.
