Yudeng-class medium landing ship

The Yudeng-class medium landing ship is essentially a smaller version of the Yukan-class vessels. The Yudeng class was created to replace the obsolete Yudao class. The single unit of this class provides a lift of 500 troops and 9 tanks. Armed with 2 57mm/50 guns firing 120 rds/min to 12 km, it is stationed with the South Sea Fleet.

The Military Balance: 1995-96 reported that China had four Yudeng ships, though Jane's Fighting Ships 2003-04 reported that there was only one ship in this class.
