Type 54 152-mm Howitzer
In 1955 China developed designs for the 152 mm towed artillery, in imitation of the Soviet Union D-1 type 152 mm howitzer which post-World War II, the Soviet Union used for artillery division-level support before the mid-1970s. Before the 1980s, it served China as an important support artillery corps level, to equip infantry regiment of heavy artillery howitzer battalions, each battalion having 12.
