Jiangdao Type 056A ASW Variant
The Type 056A light support ship is generally considered to be the replacement for tehe Type 053H , fo which 14 the frigates were built (some of which were retired and sold), and tye Type 037 series of more than 70 submarine chasers. Before the Type 056A series of light vessels, the Chinese navy in fact did not have a qualified coastal patrol ships.
It is also responsible for the patrol duties of 053H1 and 053H3 type of escort ships and the 053H2G models. Due to the technical level of these ships, the equipment performance was backward, and had poor living conditions, etc. It was been difficult to adapt these to the task of offshore patrol. After including the 053H2G model, the number of people's Navy large surface ships is not great. They are responsible for offshore patrol over, but also take into account the mission readiness. Of the 23 Type 056 launched in the water as of December 2014, 16 hulls were "regular" Type 056 corvettes (hull numbers in the order of their construction: 582, 596, 584, 580, 583, 597, 585, 581, 586, 587, 590, 589, 588, 592, 591, 595) and 7 are the ASW variant Type 056A (hull numbers in the order of their construction: 593, 594, 501, 502, 503, 504 plus a seventh hull that did not have a number yet but which was launched on 11/10/2014).

Unlike the previous 056, there is lsrge equipment on the bottom of the ship that is deployed by a door. It is generally believed that this is the towing sonar port, which indicates that the ship is anti-submarine type 056. And is considered to be used in China's coastal "housekeeping homes," a large number of 056, with the towing of such a high-end anti-submarine equipment, strengthen the anti-submarine capability, will undoubtedly help to effectively protect China's sea lifeline.

A commissioning, naming and flag-presenting ceremony for the new-type guided missile frigate “Sanmenxia”, the first one of its type, was held in Zhoushan city of east China's Zhejiang province on the morning of November 13, 2014, marking that the "Sanmenxia" warship is officially commissioned to the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN). The “Sanmenxia” warship, the first one of its type, is China's independently-developed new type guide missile frigate. With the hull number of 593, it belongs to a maritime garrison command under the East China Sea Fleet of the PLAN.
The naming and flag-giving ceremony for commissioning the new guided missile frigate "Zhuzhou" was held at a naval port in Zhoushan city of east China’s Zhejiang province, at 10:00 on 28 November 2014. This marks the "Zhuzhou" warship joining the East China Sea Fleet under the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLAN) and is officially commissioned. The "Zhuzhou" warship is the No. 2 ship of a new type of guided missile frigate independently designed by China. It is affiliated to a maritime garrison command of the East China Sea Fleet under the PLAN, with the hull number of 594.
Zhuzhou is the 18th corvette in the Jingdao class (Type 056) and the 2nd within the anti-submarine warfare Type 056A variant. The warship employs the most advanced technologies and equipment in China in terms of firepower configuration, command and control, and systematic operation, featuring strong comprehensive combat capability. After being delivered to a maritime garrison command of the East China Sea Fleet, it will collaborate with the "Sanmenxia" warship of the maritime garrison command commissioned earlier to perform tasks.
