November 26, 2007, China deployed in the South China Sea Fleet for the first time.
July 19, 2009, the JH-7A crashed during the joint exercise of the "Peace Mission-2009" held in Sino-Russian. The two pilots on board sacrificed.
At 10:47 am on October 14, 2011, the 2011 China International General Aviation Conference held an air show at the Nifu Airport in Pucheng County, Shaanxi Province. An domestic JH-7 fighter was performing at a low altitude from east to west. Suddenly out of control during the flight, it crashed about 2 kilometers west of the audience area. There were two pilots on the plane and the parachute parachute was not fully open .
August 20, 2014, the Chinese Air Force sent the JH-7A to participate in the "Peace Mission-2014" Joint Anti-Terrorism Military Exercises.
July 24, 2015, two Chinese Air Force JN-7A fighters participated in the Russian “air dart” competition.
