FK-3000 missile/gun
China at the Airshow China 2022 air show in Zhuhai presented a new anti-aircraft missile and gun system FK-3000. How to effectively conduct air defense has become the top priority for the Army. FK-3000 Air Defense Missile Weapon System is a kind of anti-cluster and anti-ammunition air defense weapon system, which can intercept various targets, such as UAVs, ammunition targets and armed helicopters, and is mainly used for key-point and accompanying air defense, as well as city security at peace time. The FK-3000 gun-in-one air defense system is suitable for dealing with this threat.
The FK-3000 system evolved gradually through the FK-1000 system and the FK-2000 system, and its iterative relationship can be seen from the name. The FK-1000 system can deal with two air targets at the same time. Its main design idea is consistent with that of the Russian-made "Armor S1". With the changes of the times, the FK-2000 system came into being.
The FK-1000 system was the first to come out in the air defense series , and the actual vehicle was unveiled at the Zhuhai Air Show in 2016. The design idea of this air defense weapon is the same as that of the Russian-made Armor S1. It is a truck chassis + anti-aircraft gun + 12 radio command-guided air defense missiles, plus search and fire control radars. It can deal with two air targets at the same time , the shooting range of the anti-aircraft missile is 1.2-22 kilometers , and the height is 10 kilometers , and the shooting range of the machine gun is 20 meters to 2800 meters . However, this anti-aircraft vehicle did not receive any orders. The main reason is that the 23mm gun it uses is relatively poor, the firepower channel of the anti-aircraft missile is insufficient, the artillery shooting affects the accuracy, it cannot shoot on the move, and the center of gravity is too high.
Therefore, the FK- 2000 system, which was strengthened to address its weaknesses , was finally unveiled at the Zhuhai Air Show in 2021. It adopted an 8-wheel new chassis with an ultra-low structure, focusing on road maneuverability. The close-in anti-aircraft gun, equipped with active phased array radar and photoelectric multi-mode detection components, has greatly improved the level of informatization, and can carry out auxiliary decision-making and threat sorting, only relying on photoelectric operation seats, active radar operation seats and launch control seats Three people can fight and can intercept targets at a distance of 25 kilometers. The most important thing is that this car can shoot while traveling at a speed of 40 kilometers per hour. Therefore, the FK- 2 000 system will still be exhibited at this air show .
On the basis of using an 8-wheel new chassis to highlight the road maneuverability and can shoot while traveling at a speed of 40 kilometers per hour, the level of informationization has been greatly improved. For example, the 23mm gun of the FK-1000 system was replaced by two close-in defense guns, and the radar was also upgraded to an active phased array radar and photoelectric multi-mode detection components. Due to its distinctive air defense features, the FK-2000 system will continue to be exhibited at this air show.
If the FK-2000 system is a vertical upgrade of the old air defense platform, then the FK-3000 system can be said to be a targeted iteration-the system uses a 6X6 high-mobility truck chassis, which enhances the ability to pass through complex roads, especially off-road conditions. The FK-3000 system has undergone targeted improvements and changed back to the truck chassis again, using the Shaanxi Automobile 2220 6X6 high-mobility chassis, which has greatly improved its off-road performance. Shaanxi Automobile 2220 is 12 meters long, 2.55 meters wide, and 3.05 meters high. It is driven by 6X2, equipped with Yuchai YC6JA220-50 engine and Fast 8JS85TE-C gearbox. tons, and the maximum speed is 95 km/h, so that a lower vehicle height can also be obtained by using the rear compartment of the truck chassis.

According to public information, the radar of the FK-3000 system can lock on targets at 2.57 to 411.56 m/s, with a minimum detection distance of 150 meters and a maximum detection distance of 30 kilometers.
This radar is likely to be specially optimized for the detection of low, slow and small targets, similar to Israel's MHR multi-mission hemispherical radar/RPS-42 S-band AESA radar, which has complex beamforming capabilities and advanced signal processing Capability, each of the four 320w solid-state arrays is responsible for the detection of 90 degrees in the horizontal direction and -10 to 70 degrees in the pitch, and can lock the target at 2.57 to 411.56 m/s. In addition to the changes in the radar of the FK-3000 system, the ammunition has been greatly updated. FK-3000 can carry dozens of small anti-aircraft missiles, even in the face of "swarm" attacks, it has enough confidence. For the first time, it is equipped with 12 groups of 48 rounds, each consisting of 4 anti-swarm UAV ammunition, which is also a positive change based on the form of modern warfare. The "small missile" code-named FK-3000/L left a deep impression on the visitors. The FK-3000 air-to-air defense system attracted widespread attention since its debut at the 2022 China Air Show. The right side of the FK-3000 system is still equipped with medium-range bombs, and a new gun is installed in the middle of the turret. It is guessed to be a 30mm gun. From the point of view of the round and blunt shape, an infrared imaging guidance can also make up for the short-range shooting range of medium-range bombs. The UAV is too small and the infrared features are not obvious, so the high-end method of infrared imaging is also needed, and it is the most comfortable after launch. The Koreans have made infrared imaging guided rockets, and in theory we can do it too. If laser semi-active guidance or radio command guidance is used, then the price factor is considered, and the number of interception channels will be much less, which is far less troublesome than infrared. What's even more interesting is that the FK-3000 air defense system can even be equipped with two unmanned combat vehicles carrying miniature missiles. The attachment of this "wing vehicle" is a unique idea for ground air defense equipment. The FK-3000 system can also be equipped with two unmanned combat vehicles carrying micro-missiles. The micro-missiles are equipped with 4 groups of 24 rounds on the unmanned vehicle. They use photoelectric turrets and radars to detect targets, as well as fire control radars and guidance. This "manned/unmanned vehicle coordination" design, the outstanding number of single-vehicle ammunition, and the integrated air defense mode of ammunition and artillery have all made the FK-3000, a new integrated air defense weapon system, attract much attention. It is an important development direction of ground air defense weapons in the future to be able to strike not only air targets such as traditional fighter planes, but also unmanned aerial vehicles.
The master combat vehicle of the system integrates multiple hard and soft kill means, such as anti-ammunition air defense missile, anti-cluster mini-missile and radio jamming transmitter.
