Dongan Group produces helicopter transmission system, aero-engine, industrial gas turbine generating set, aviation electro-mechanical products, and subcontract production of aviation parts for foreign customers etc. WJ5 series aero-engine is used as power plant of regional airplane Y7 and transporter. Over 15,000 sets of aero-engine and 6,000 sets of helicopter transmission system have been accumulatively developed, produced and repaired since the establishment of the company. Dongan Group now is designated as the development and production base for helicopter transmissions system in China and the specialized production facility for aviation machinery transmission components. Now, the company is undertaking the development and production of 4 types including 7 models of helicopter transmission systems.

In the 11th 5-year Plan period, Dongan Group would speed up the product structure adjustment, make full use of advantages in components machining, expedite the international cooperation progress, and realize a leap development in subcontract production of aviation products. In January 2010, the company announced a container-type gas turbine generator set developed with indigenous efforts has passed validation. According to Dongan, this is the first container-type gas turbine generator set produced in China and has wide applications including urban emergency power generation, medical services, power protection and telecommunications.

Dongan's product portfolio comprises both stationary and mobile gas turbine units. The company launched the develop-ment project for container-type gas turbine generating units in 2007. The new QD15 has a rated power of 1.5 MW and a design life of 15 years. Harbin Dongan Electric Co., Ltd. is the wholly-owned subsidiary of AVIC Harbin Dongan Engine (Group) Corporation Ltd. and the airborne component research and production factory of Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). The company is mainly to research, develop, design and produce the air mechanical and electrical products, auto mechanical and electrical products, domestic aviation components processing and subcontract parts. Harbin Dongan New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was established in July 2008. The registered address is No.2 Songhua Road, Jizhong District, Haping Road, Harbin Development Zone. The land area of the company is 53,800m2 and the total asset is RMB 137.36 million yuan. The main product is the light gas turbine generator set. Now the products are widely used in the telecommunication and electric power systems of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Jilin and other big cities and regions.
