China National Aero-Technology Import and Export Corporation (CATIC)

China National Aero-Technology Import and Export Corporation (CATIC), the predecessor of AVIC International Holding Corporation (AVIC INTERNATIONAL) was established in January, 1979 at the beginning of Reform & Opening policy performance. In 2008, China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation was restructured and renamed as AVIC INTERNATIONAL. The military arms trade business was separated out from its business scope and a new identity, which still kept the name of China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation (CATIC) was formed to continue this business. The shares of the new CATIC are held jointly by AVIC and AVIC INTERNATIONAL,50% for each respectively.

Undertaking the historical mission of "strengthen the military forces and enrich the people" and after developing for more than half a century, there are thousands of Chinese-made aircrafts flying over the sky of foreign countries. In more than 30 countries and regions, CATIC establishes overseas institutions and build a good brand image. CATIC keeps pace with the development of the world most advanced aviation technology in various fields, and shares it with the customers and partners around the world.
