1 Military Regional Command
The 1 Military Regional Command, located in the city of Estelí 147 kilometers north of Managua, serves the departments of Madriz, Nueva Segovia and Estelí. The 1 Military Command Regional of the Army of Nicaragua in compliance with the Plan of Protection, Restoration and Conservation of the main natural resources of the country and its sustainable use, on July 4, 2017, participated in the launching of the National Reforestation Crusade in the city Of Estelí.
In salute to the 37th Anniversary of the Constitution of the Nicaraguan Army, on Saturday, August 20, 2016, the 1st Regional Military Command conducted the XII Regional Shooting Championship with infantry weapons at the shooting camp of the military camp, located in San Ramón, Municipality of Pueblo Nuevo, department of Estelí. In the championship participated 402 shooters in the categories of rifle and pistol.

2 Military Regional Command
The 2 Military Regional Command, is located in the west of the country and comprises the departments of León and Chinandega. As of 2016 the Head of this unit is the Colonel of Artillery, High Military Studies (ALEMI) Vladimir Ilinch Martínez Jarquín. In April 2016, working meetings were held with the heads of the National Police of the departments of León and Chinandega, in order to strengthen the mechanisms of work and cooperation between the two institutions. In the course of these meetings, the military chiefs responsible for the territories expounded the missions they carry out in order to combat crimes such as drug trafficking, smuggling of illegal immigrants and cattle rustling.
In the context of the greeting activities of the 37th Anniversary of the Constitution of the Nicaraguan Army, on Saturday, August 20, 2016, the 2 Regional Military Command made cleaning of 25 tombs in the cemetery of the municipality of Chinandega, fallen comrades in the Fulfillment of duty during the 37 years of institutional life.

4 Military Regional Command
The 4 Military Regional Command, is located in the south of the country and comprises the departments of Masaya, Granada, Carazo and Rivas. Various activities are carried out with the civil society through seminars, workshops, work meetings and coordination that have allowed members of the institution to prepare themselves in environmental legislation. With the Public Ministry, work coordinations are carried out through the inter-institutional commission of the criminal justice system of the departments of Rivas and Granada.
As part of the State's "Wall of Containment" strategy, the 4th Regional Military Command carried out an operation against drug trafficking in the El Ostional community, municipality of San Juan del Sur, Rivas department, on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. As As a result of the operation, a Van type vehicle was taken, green with no plaque, containing 16 sacks, with 388 tacos, weighing 404 kilos and 287.1 grams of cocaine. This operation was carried out in compliance with the strategy of the Wall of Containment, which is the first strategic ring of national security and aims to contain, divert and capture the largest amount of drugs in the immediate accesses, in order to prevent them from circulating.

5 Military Regional Command
he 5 Regional Military Command is located in the center of the country and comprises the departments of Boaco and Chontales. Mainly, it has a relationship with the National Police, contributing to the confrontation of criminal activity, the fight against drug trafficking, smuggling, smuggling and illicit trafficking in persons, maintaining high levels of citizen stability in the territory of responsibility, as well as operational services.

6 Military Regional Command
The 6th Regional Military Command comprises the departments of Jinotega and Matagalpa, located in the north of Nicaragua. This is an area rich in agricultural, livestock and vegetable production; Especially vital for its fresh and humid climate, for the cultivation of cabbage, tomato, onion and other products of internal and external consumption. In addition, in this area 75% of the coffee is exported from the country. In order to continue to exercise sovereignty and protect the integrity of the national territory, the deployment of 5 Border Command posts on the state border is maintained, from the sectors of Boca de El Poteca to the sectors of Boca de Lakus in Raití. The results of these missions in 2016 included the occupation of 4 pistols, 2 spell weapons, 50 ammunition, 44 livestock (3 horses and 41 cattle), 555 marijuana plants and the capture of 8 criminals, five of them Nicaraguans and three Hondurans.
Within the operational plans that have been carried out in the field, 1,347 operational services have been carried out, employing 7,025 military personnel, 172 police personnel and 220 staff from different institutions and agencies. The protection was guaranteed to the transfer of C $ 499, 613,370 (net córdobas) to companies, producers, cattle ranchers and merchants. In addition, the military presence in areas and areas of delinquency incidents was guaranteed. The results of these operations include: 5 delinquents killed and 39 captured, occupation of 2 restricted weapons, 10 civilian weapons, 61 restricted ammunition, 18 livestock, 9,578 marijuana plants, and 3 motorcycles.

Military Detachment North
The Military Detachment North, is located in the city of Puerto Cabezas, Autonomous Region of the North Caribbean. The Nicaraguan Army will continue to carry out operations in compliance with the Retaining Wall strategy, which is the first strategic ring of national security and aims to contain, divert and capture the largest amount of drugs in the immediate accesses, in order to avoid that it circulates by the nuclei population, avoiding with this serious affectations to security.

South Military Detachment
The South Military Detachment, located in the southeast region of the country, comprises the department of Río San Juan. The South Military Detachment develops, together with civil society, various activities that allow optimal levels of cooperation between the institution and the population to be maintained, including support to the Departmental Electoral Council during municipal and national electoral processes.

Ecological Battalion "BOSAWÁS"
The "BOSAWÁS" Ecological Battalion is located in the municipality of Siuna, Autonomous Region of the North Caribbean. It serves the municipalities of: Siuna, Rosita, Bonanza, Mulukukú, Prinzapolka, part of Waspan and San José de Bocay, department of Jinotega.
On Wednesday, February 22, 2017, in the municipality of Siuna in the Atlantic Region of the North Caribbean Coast, the Ecological Battalion "Bosawas" participated in the launching of the Departmental Plan for the Prevention and Control of Forest and Agricultural Fires. With the participation of the BECO reaffirms the willingness to protect and safeguard natural resources, making it clear that "For the Nicaraguan Army the protection of our country's natural resources is a matter of national security."
