	This major unit, located in the city of El Alto and with geographical jurisdiction in the strategic area of the Pacific, was created by order of the day of the FAB No. 163/86 of 10 December 1986.
AIR GROUP "31" "Gral. Jorge Jordán Mercado" It is the oldest aviation unit of the Bolivian air force, it was created during the Chaco War, on July 31, 1932; It is headquarters to the city of El Alto. It is named after "Gral. Jorge Jordán Mercado" in memory of the legendary hero and military aviator who commanded forces in campaign during the Chaco War.	AIR GROUP "71" "Gral. Walter Arze Rojas" This unit is known by civilians as military air transport, was created on 15 June 1945 under the name of squadron of air transportation (ETA); performs its operations from the airbase of the high. The G.A. "71" was nominated for "Gral. Walter Arze Rojas", as a tribute to the remarkable military Aviator and first Commander of air force Boliviana.
"91" GROUP OF ARTILLERY AND AIR DEFENCE "Tte. Antonio Vargas Mercado" It was created on 28 October 1975 under the name of Group of security and defense of air installations (G.S.D.I.A); from year 1984 it is called Group of artillery and anti-aircraft defense "91" ("91" GADA). It is headquarters to the city of El Alto. This unit is named after "Tte. Antonio Vargas Mercado" in memory of the valiant officer of the FAB who died in 1965 defending against internal enemies of the country.	"97" GROUP OF ARTILLERY AND AIR DEFENCE "My. Manuel p. Inchauste" Group of artillery and anti-aircraft defense '97", headquartered in the town of Caranavi, La Paz, was created by order of the day of FAB No. 104 10 of 29 July 2010. The GADA "97" is named after "My. Manuel P. Inchauste" in memory of the military instructor and notable observer air of the Chaco War who died in a plane crash.
II Air Brigade / II Brigada Aerea
	This large air unit with seat in the city of Cochabamba that brings together all the FAB units settled in this capital was created by order of the day of the FAB No. 167/86 of 10 December 1986.
AIR GROUP "22""Gral. Div. Ae. "Gral. Div. Aé. Alberto Paz Soldán Pol" This new unit of the Bolivian air force headquartered in the locality of Chimoré, Cochabamba, was created through the order of the day for the FAB No. 112/10 of 8 September 2010. This helicopter training unit was nominated "Gral. Div. Aé. Alberto Paz Soldán Pol" as a tribute to the last Aviator and hero of the Chaco War.	AIR GROUP "34" "Tcnl. Rafael Pabon" This unit of the Bolivian air force, based in the city of Cochabamba, was created on June 22, 1984. The G.A. "34" named "Tcnl. Rafael Pabón" as a posthumous tribute to the hero and ace of aviation in the Chaco War.
AIR GROUP "51" "Chap. Rafael Estívariz Cardozo" It was created on 22 June 1967 under the name of joint air group. From year 1984 acquired its current name of air search and rescue group "51". It is seated in the city of Cochabamba. This helicopter unit was named "Chap. Rafael Estívariz Cardozo" in tribute to the pioneer of the Bolivian helicopter pilots, who died along with President of the Republic. "Mario Calvo González" The Group of "92", headquartered in the city of Cochabamba, artillery and air defence was created by order of the day of the FAB No. 168/86 of 30 December 1986. The GADA "92" is named after "Sbtte. "Mario Calvo González" in memory of the hero of the Chaco who died in an aerial combat with the ace of the Bolivian aviation, Tcnl. Rafael Pabón.
