YDT - Diving Training Boat
YDT 17 and 18 are 132 foot by 27 foot diving training boats. They will be used by the United States Naval Deep Sea Diving School in Panama City, Florida, for training divers in open water and occasionally participate in operational diving missions. Personnel are trained in diving, salvage, deep sea ocean recovery, medicine and underwater explosive work. They are designed to carry 25 students, 7 instructors and 8 crew members.
