DD 229 Truxtun 12/3/1919 9/28/1920 2/16/1921 While acting as escort to Pollux (AKS-2) in Placentae Bay, Newfoundland, Truxtun ran aground on Ferry land Point, 18 Feb 1942. She broke up almost immediately after grounding and in spite of the heroic efforts of the local populace, lost 110 members of her crew to the elements.

DD 257 Welles 11/13/1918 5/8/1919 9/9/1940 Damaged beyond repair in air raid in Portsmouth Harbor, 15 Dec 1940, she capsized. The Admiralty Committee on "Shock in Ships" conducted shock tests on the hulk between July 1942 and September 1943. "Paid off" on 5 October 1943, Cameron remained in dockyard hands at Portsmouth until towed to Falmouth in November 1944, where she was subsequently broken up for scrap.
