CVE 43 JAMAICA   4/21/1943   Transferred to Royal Navy under lend lease, 27 Sep 1943; renamed HMS SHAH. Returned to USN, 6 Dec 1945. Sold for scrap, June 1947. Purchased in 1949 by Compania Argentina de Navegacion Dodero, Buenos Aires and rebuilt at Newport News, Va. as a passenger ship, renamed SALTA. 1951 used on the Buenos Aires - Genoa service with stops at intermediate ports. 1955 transferred to ownership of Flota Argentina de Navigacion de Ultramar, B.A. 1962 transferred to Empresa Lineas Maritimas Argentinas. Dec.1964 laid up at Buenos Aires. 1966 scrapped at Buenos Aires.
CVE 44 KEWEENAW 11/27/1942 5/6/1943   Transferred to Royal Navy under lend lease, 22 Oct 1943; renamed HMS PATROLLER. Returned to USN, 9 Dec 1946. Sold, Aug 1947 for conversion to merchant service. Final disposition unknown.
CVE 45 MCCLURE 12/17/1942 5/18/1943   Transferred to Royal Navy under lend lease, 17 Oct 1943; renamed HMS RAJAH (D.10). Returned to USN 13 Dec 1946. Sold for conversion to merchant service, 7 July 1947. Became the merchant ship DRENTE in 1948.
CVE 46 NIANTIC 1/5/1943 6/2/1943   Transferred to Royal Navy under lend lease, 8 Nov 1943; renamed HMS RANEE. Returned to USN 21 Nov 1946. Sold for conversion to merchant service, 9 June 1947. Final disposition unknown.

CVE 48 SUNSET 2/23/1943 7/15/1943   Transferred to Royal Navy under lend lease, 19 Nov 1943; renamed HMS THANE. Severely damaged by a torpedo from a German submarine in mid-January 1945. Returned to USN, 12 May 1945. Declared unfit for repairs. Stricken October 1945 and scrapped.
CVE 49 ST ANDREWS 3/12/1943 7/31/1943   Transferred to Royal Navy under lend lease, 7 Dec 1943; renamed HMS QUEEN. Returned to USN, 31 Oct 1946. Sold to Netherlands, July 1947. Operated in mercantile service until sold to Phillipine Presidents Line Inc. in 1967; renamed PRESIDENT MARCOS. Operated as late as 1974. Final disposition unknown.
CVE 50 ST JOSEPH 3/25/1943 8/21/1943   Transferred to Royal Navy under lend lease, 22 Dec 1943; renamed HMS RULER (D.72). Returned to USN, 29 Jan 1946. Sold for scrap, May 1946.
CVE 52 VERMILLION 5/10/1943 9/27/1943   Transferred to Royal Navy under lend lease, 20 Jan 1944; renamed HMS SMITER (D.55). Returned to USN, 6 Apr 1946. Sold for conversion to merchant, 28 Jan 1947; resold to a company in Argentina; served as SS ARTILLERO. Final disposition unknown.
CVE 53 WILLAPA 5/21/1943 11/8/1943   Transferred to Royal Navy under lend lease, 5 Feb 1944; renamed HMS PUNCHER (D.79). Returned to USN, 16 Feb 1946. Sold for conversion to merchant, 9 Jan 1947; resold to British firm, 4 Feb 1947. She later served successively as MUNCASTER CASTLE, BARDIC, and BENNEVIS, into the 1970s. Final disposition unknown.
