M57 120mm High Explosive Cartridge
The M57 High Explosive Cartridge is designed for use with the M120 120mm Towed Mortar System and is used against personnel, bunker and light materiel targets. The steel projectile is loaded with TNT explosive. The M57 is equipped with the M935 Point Detonating Fuze which functions in the Impact mode. The M57 was procured by the U.S. Army in limited quantities as a foreign (Israel) nondevelopmental item.
