Cessna 152
The venerable Cessna 152 is the most common, widely available primary trainer in the United States today. Almost every pilot who learned to fly after WWII has flown a 152 at some time or another. The 152 has earned its reputation as a trainer by being a low cost, simple to operate aircraft with forgiving handling, but with sufficient dutch-roll and stall characteristics to adequately teach student pilots respect and coordination.
