Nectar Bend
From 2 June through 2 July 1994 Captain Bryan L. Boyea, a physical therapist, attached to 5th Special Forces Group deploy to Armed Forces General Hospital, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. During Operation Nectar Bend, Captain Boyea supervised and directed the early post-operative rehabilitation of ilizarov patients. This was the first subject matter expert exchange between the U.S. and Ethiopian military medical community.
