Focused Logistics Wargames (FLOW)
The commanders and directors of military services and joint logistics organizations signed an agreement in February 1998 to support a series of joint logistics wargames, designated Focused Logistics Wargames (FLOW). The intent was for FLOW to be a collaborative military Service and Defense Agency effort for designing and assessing technological breakthroughs, joint logistics doctrine, and the desired operational capabilities required to meet Joint Vision (JV) 2010/2020 Logistics Challenges.
The initial game was held 18-22 October 1999 at the Naval War College, Newport, Rhode Island. After a successful effort, planning for FLOW 01 was expanded to include active participation by Combatant Commanders, other U.S. Government agencies, and selected allies - Canada, Australia, and United Kingdom.
